St Kentigern Hospice Lottery Terms and Conditions

When signing to join the St Kentigern Hospice Lottery, players agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, updated copies of which may be found on our web site www.stkentigernhospice.org.uk or by contacting St Kentigern Promotions Ltd on 01745 536027.

The St Kentigern Hospice Lottery is run by St Kentigern Promotions Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of St Kentigern Hospice Ltd.

St Kentigern Promotions Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any amendment is subject to 14 days’ notice and will be communicated via the website and published in the Hospice newsletter. There are separate terms and conditions relating to any bumper draw which will be published at any time tickets are on sale.

Membership

St Kentigern Promotions Ltd reserves the right not to accept any application for membership of the lottery without giving a reason.

Under the Gambling Act 2005 players in St Kentigern Hospice Lottery must be aged 16 or over. It is an offence for anyone under the age of 16 to enter the lottery or win a prize. In the event that anyone under the age of 16 is entered into a draw, no prize will be awarded and the stake money refunded. St Kentigern Promotions Ltd reserves the right to ask any member or prospective member for proof of their age.

With certain exceptions, staff and directors are permitted to enter the draw.

Should any entries be made in the name of St Kentigern Promotions Ltd then there is a limit of five entries in any one draw. The chances of winning are the same as for any other player.

On joining the lottery each player is allocated a randomly selected six or seven digit number which remains theirs for the duration of their membership.

Subscriptions can be paid by standing order (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually), cheque or Debit Card (quarterly, half-yearly or annually). Cash collections are available in certain areas and the promoter reserves the right to cancel these at any time

It is the responsibility of the member to notify the lottery office of any material change of circumstances such as a change of address.

Any individual player wishing to have more than 10 numbers may only do so with the prior consent of St Kentigern Promotions Ltd.

Members of the St Kentigern Lottery may cancel their membership at any time, subject to the following:

Any funds held by St Kentigern Promotions Ltd will be utilised to fund the entry into future lotteries (for the member, their executors or their personal representatives) until the balance falls below £1.00.

Any balance below £1.00 will become the property of St Kentigern Promotions Ltd.

Draw and Prize Fund

The draw is held weekly on a Friday and is based on a subscription of £1 per entry. Should the draw date fall on a public holiday then the draw will be conducted on the next working day. Any members that have not subscribed the full entry fee for that week are not entered in the draw however their membership is not automatically cancelled.

Breakdown of the weekly prize fund is detailed on the website. The prize fund and the size of any prize may be altered by St Kentigern Promotions Ltd subject to 14 days’ notice and communicated via the Hospice website and newsletter.

Winning cheques will be sent out automatically within one week of the draw taking place. The winning lottery number will appear on the website. A full list of the winning numbers can be obtained from the lottery office. Should any cheque remain un-cashed after six months then it will be cancelled and the funds used for the benefit of St Kentigern Hospice.

Responsible Gambling

St Kentigern Promotions Ltd supports and promotes responsible gambling. For details of organizations that can help those with a gambling problem contact St Kentigern Promotions Ltd.

Any individual who feels that they cannot control their gambling may wish to exclude themselves from playing in the St Kentigern Hospice Lottery. Requests for self exclusion should be made in writing to the St Kentigern Promotions Ltd. Such exclusions will be held in place for a minimum period of six months. Any subsequent membership of the lottery is at the discretion of St Kentigern

Complaints Procedure

Any complaint about St Kentigern Promotions Ltd should be addressed to the Lottery Manager. If a complaint remains unresolved then the player may contact the Independent Betting Adjudication Service who will act as arbitrators. Their address is I.B.A.S., PO Box 62639, London EC3P 3AS.

Data Protection

Information provided by members of the lottery is stored on both the Lottery and Hospice database. Marketing material is sent to supporters who have opted to receive such communications.

Insolvency

In the event of the insolvency of St Kentigern Promotions Ltd, or St Kentigern Hospice Ltd, players are not guaranteed to receive the return of any advanced payments made.
