Holywell Walkers are Welcome Committee are organising a Walking Challenge on Sunday 25th May 2014. The challenge provides the opportunity for walkers to complete a 10km, 20km or 30km walk which are mainly on footpaths and will be sponsored by local company Kingspan and Communities First and Holywell Town Council. The event is based on the Delyn Walks that were popular in the 1970’s and 80’s. David Hanson Delyn and local MP says “I welcome the walking challenge and the fundraising efforts of local ramblers and others – I hope people can participate and support this efford and in doing so St Kentigern Hospice”.

Cllr Barry Scragg, Chairman of the Walkers are Welcome Committee commented “This is an opportunity for people to walk for health, either as individuals or in groups. This in turn will help to raise some much needed funds for St Kentigern”. The Delyn Walking challenge is part of a wider walking programme of activity being developed by Holywell Walkers are Welcome Committee for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Registration will be £5.00 per adult and sponsorship on top.
Groups – A minimum donation of £25.00 per group
Children under 14 go free and must be accompanied by an adult.

Monies raised to come to the hospice.
