Join us at the hospice for an information evening on 25th July for the Camino de Santiago Trek, hosted by Global Adventures.

The Camino de Santiago Trek will take place from October 2–6, 2024, and is a great way to experience the last leg of the famous Camino Frances pilgrimage.

This pilgrimage begins in Palas de Rei, where you trek through charming villages, a forest, and a mediaeval hamlet before reaching the town of Arza, where you will settle for the night. Your second day’s trek will take you through beautiful forests, sleepy villages, and the chapel of Santa Irene before reaching Amenal. Your third day of trekking’s first destination is Lavacolla, set along the outskirts of Santiago, where pilgrims used to wash in the river in preparation for their arrival in Santiago de Compostela. Then we journey to Monte do Gozo, where we can catch our first glimpse of the spires of Santiago Cathedral, the final point of the three-day trek.
