With a mix of gratitude and sadness, this month we said goodbye to our wonderful Fundraising Manager, Michaella. Over her time with us, Michaella has been the heart behind so many successful campaigns and events, tirelessly working to support St Kentigern Hospice’s mission. Her dedication, compassion, and unshakeable commitment to making a difference in our community has left an indelible mark.
Thanks to Michaella’s leadership, we’ve reached new heights in fundraising, allowing us to extend our support and care to those who need it most. Her positivity and energy has inspired all of us so please join us in wishing Michaella all the best in her next chapter. Though we are sad to see her leave, we are thrilled for all her success and we wish her all the best!

Moving forward, we are delighted to have Ghazala Jabeen move into post as our Fundraising Manager. We’re excited to see how Gaz will help drive our mission forward, inspiring even greater impact as we work together for our vision at St Kentigern Hospice. Welcome aboard, Gaz!
“I’m Ghazala Jabeen, or Gaz for short, and I’m thrilled to be joining St Kentigern Hospice as the new Fundraising Manager. I want to thank Michaella for her excellent work in the role; she’s passed the baton to me as she moves on to new opportunities, and we wish her all the best.
I’ve lived in North Wales for nearly 30 years, a proud mum of three children, an author, and an award-winning business professional. I’m passionate about making a difference and bring over 25 years of experience in fundraising, events, healthcare, and community projects to our hospice. Recently, I was honoured with an Honorary Doctorate for Humanitarianism at the Houses of Parliament, recognising my 35 years of work in making a difference to our communities locally and globally.
I’m excited to be part of the hospice team and look forward to helping us achieve even greater things as we work towards our vision.”
