We were delighted to recently welcome John Hand from the Colwyn Bay Ukulele Group to the hospice, where he presented a cheque for £156.50. This generous donation reflects the group’s heartfelt commitment to giving back to the community, and we are deeply grateful for their efforts.
The funds were raised during a festive performance at the Colwyn Bay precinct just before Christmas. Amidst the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, the cheerful tunes of the ukulele group brought joy to the crowd while also supporting two vital causes. Proceeds from their performance were shared between St Kentigern and St David’s Hospices, both of which are dedicated to providing compassionate care for patients and their families during difficult times.
This wonderful act of kindness by the Colwyn Bay Ukulele Group will go a long way in helping us continue our mission. Donations like this enable us to provide essential care and support to those in need, whether through specialized treatments, emotional support, or simply being there for families when they need it most.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone in the group for their generosity and the joy they bring to the community. Your music not only brightened the holiday season but also made a meaningful difference to the lives of those we care for.
To all who stopped to listen or donate during their performance, thank you for contributing to this cause. It’s the collective goodwill of people like you that helps sustain our services and ensure we can continue to support our patients with the dignity and care they deserve.

Thank you once again to John Hand and the Colwyn Bay Ukulele Group – your kindness truly resonates!
