The Whitehouse, Rhuallt was the venue for the hospice’s first ever Big Quiz of the Year. Twenty five teams took part in 8 rounds of questions, including rounds on history, geography, music, dingbats and general knowledge. There was also a round on the year 1995 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The quiz master for the evening was Sophie Morris, CEO of Worldspan, based in Abergele and the questions were prepared by her colleague Stephen Potter. We are so grateful to both Sophie and Stephen, for giving their time for nothing to support the hospice. Thank you.
The winners on the night were Edward Hughes Solicitors Team 1 and the runners up were Pure Residential & Commercial Ltd
Everyone at the hospice would like to say a big thank you to all the teams who entered, the Whitehouse for letting us use their fantastic refurbished function room and for the lovely food, all the volunteers who worked tirelessly on the night marking papers and selling raffle tickets and to our main sponsors Worldspan, Lobitos, Jones Brothers , George & Dragon Abergele, Barclays, Supertemps Ltd and K&C for supporting the event @kandcuk . The evening was hugely successful, raising vital funds for the hospice and we have received many emails from teams thanking us for a brilliant evening. We are happy to say that the Big Quiz will be back in 2026, so please look out for details towards the end of the year.
