Dates: 1–2 August
Day 1 – Trekking Snowdon
Route: Llanberis Path (Tourist Path)
Distance: Approx. 9.5 miles
Itinerary:
- Start: Depart from the start venue and head to the Llanberis Path.
- Penceunant Tea House: Our first stop at this charming 18th-century cottage along the road.
- Halfway House Café: We leave the road and follow the path alongside the railway line to the café. The trail gradually becomes steeper and more rocky.
- Clogwyn Station: Steep ascent under the railway bridge provides a short rest before the next challenging stretch.
- Bwlch Glad Standing Stone: The gradient eases here, and we follow the railway line toward the summit.
- Summit: Reach Snowdon’s peak at 3,560 ft! Celebrate the achievement and take in the views (but don’t linger too long—it can be chilly!).
- Descent: A 2–3 hour trek back down, finishing with a well-earned breakfast.
Note: This is a challenging itinerary and may be subject to change.
