What an evening!
On Saturday 26 September, supporters of St Kentigern Hospice came together at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre for A Grand Night for Music, a very special evening of live music in support of hospice care across our community.
We were delighted to welcome the outstanding Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band, alongside the wonderful voices of Côr Godre’r Aran, for an evening filled with incredible music, atmosphere and community spirit.
Hosted by Dilwyn Morgan, the concert brought together hundreds of people for what proved to be a memorable night, all while helping to support the vital work of St Kentigern Hospice.
Thank you for making the evening possible
Events of this scale simply would not be possible without the generosity and support of so many people.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our event sponsors, Now to Bed and Memoria, whose support helped make A Grand Night for Music possible.
A huge thank you must also go to Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band, Côr Godre’r Aran and Dilwyn Morgan for giving us such a fantastic evening of entertainment, and to everyone at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre for their support in bringing the event together.
Behind the scenes, there were many people who helped make the night a success, from our dedicated staff and volunteers to those who helped promote the concert, sell tickets, welcome guests and support us throughout the evening.
Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who bought a ticket, made a donation, purchased merchandise or simply helped spread the word.
Your support means so much.
Supporting hospice care in our community
St Kentigern Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care and support to people living across Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire, as well as providing support to their families and loved ones.
Providing these services costs around £13,150 every single day, and with only a proportion of our funding coming from statutory sources, the generosity of our local community remains essential.
Events such as A Grand Night for Music are therefore about far more than one evening of entertainment. They bring our community together while helping us to continue being there for local people when they need us most.
We are currently completing the final reconciliation of the event and look forward to sharing more about its fundraising success once all of the figures have been confirmed.
For now, however, we simply want to say:
Thank you.
To every performer, sponsor, supporter, volunteer, member of staff and everyone who joined us at Rhyl Pavilion – thank you for helping to make A Grand Night for Music such a special occasion.
We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and we look forward to welcoming you to another St Kentigern Hospice event very soon.
