As we mark our 30th anniversary, we are embarking on one of the most heartfelt projects in our history — raising funds for a Companion Bed that will allow hospice patients to share truly precious moments with their loved ones in comfort and closeness.
Why a Companion Bed Matters
At the end of life, moments with family and friends become more treasured than ever. Touch is often one of the last senses to fade.
Our patients tell us how much it means to simply be close to their loved ones. A Companion Bed makes that possible.
The Embrace Bed we are fundraising for is designed especially for palliative and end-of-life care. It is big enough for two people and has specialist features to make patients more comfortable while enabling partners, children, and friends to be right there with them — not just visiting, but sharing the same space, especially in those final days and hours together.
This bed is more than just equipment — it’s a bridge between hearts when time is short.
Our Goal: £17,000
We’re taking part in the Big Give Christmas Campaign, which offers an incredible opportunity for charities: every pound raised during campaign week will be doubled through match funding.
To unlock this, we first need to secure £4,250 in pledges by 29 August 2025. If we reach this milestone, our pledges will be matched pound-for-pound during campaign week (2–9 December 2025), helping us reach our total target of £17,000.
Here’s how it works:

- Payment is made after the campaign finishes on 9 December 2025.
- During campaign week, donations will be matched, doubling their impact.
