JOB TITLE: Sales Assistant /Key Holder
SALARY: Living Wage
HOURS: 22 Hours
LOCATION: Colwyn Bay & Old Colwyn
RESPONSIBLE TO: Retail Operations Manager
Job Summary:
To work up to 5 day’s week Monday to Friday to sort, price, merchandise clothes ready for sale. To work with volunteers helping direct and manage workload accordingly. To have a “can do” attitude, and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Professional
- Good communication skills.
- Strong merchandising skills
- To be able to drive sales, and react to change quickly.
- to be a responsible key holder.
- To keep accurate records cash sheets as per instruction.
Financial
- To take all appropriate steps to ensure the profitability of the shop
- To ensure all monies are correct and banked daily and all paperwork is complete as per company policy.
- To have a clear strategy and plan on how to reach set targets.
Management and /or Personal
- To support the volunteers and Liaise with Deputy Manager/ Retail Manager should any issues arise.
- To assist volunteers in representing the hospice in an appropriate manner.
- To be able to give clear instruction and support and Training to Volunteers.
- Clean driving licence
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Ideally be able to speak Welsh
Health and Safety
- To co-operate actively in achieving the aims of the Hospice’s Health and Safety Policy and to ensure the observance of all relevant Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
- To undertake the weekly/monthly checks as per the Health and Safety policy
General
- To adhere to all relevant Hospice Policies and guidelines.
- To uphold the ethos and good name of the hospice at all times.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested.
- To recruit new volunteers
- To share ideas, and help improve the shops with one team one goal.
