Let St Kentigern Hospice collect and recycle your real Christmas tree while you help support local hospice care. \nOur friendly staff and volunteers will collect your tree from outside your home and arrange for it to be responsibly recycled\, saving you the hassle of a trip to the recycling centre. \nIn return\, we kindly ask for a donation to help us provide specialist care and support for local people living with life-limiting illnesses\, and their families. \nWhere are we collecting?\nWe’re collecting from selected postcodes across LL16\, LL17\, LL18\, LL19\, LL22 and CH8. \nPlease check that your address is within our collection area before registering. \nHow to book\n\nRegister online using the booking link below.\nProvide your collection address and any helpful instructions so our volunteers can find your tree.\nMake a donation to support St Kentigern Hospice.\nLeave your tree outside by 8am on Monday 11 January 2027\, ready for collection.\n\nBook your collection\n \nWhen will my tree be collected?\nCollections will take place between Monday 11 January and Friday 22 January 2027. \nWe’re unable to provide a specific collection date or time. Please leave your tree outside throughout this period until it has been collected. \nGetting your tree ready\nBefore collection\, please make sure: \n\nAll decorations\, lights\, stands and pots have been removed.\nYour tree is not wrapped in plastic.\nYour tree is in a safe\, clearly visible and easily accessible place outside your property.\nAny gates needed for access are unlocked.\nYou have included any helpful access instructions when booking.\n\nWe can only collect real Christmas trees. We cannot collect artificial trees\, wreaths or other garden waste. \nA simple way to make a difference\nSt Kentigern Hospice is a charity\, and the generosity of our community helps us continue caring for local patients and families. \nBy booking a collection and making a donation\, you’ll be helping your tree find a useful purpose after Christmas—and helping us be there for people when they need us. \nThank you for supporting your local hospice.

DESCRIPTION:Light Up a Life 2026\nSunday 6th December 2026 | 5pm | St Kentigern Hospice \nChristmas can be a time of treasured memories\, but it can also be a time when we feel the absence of those we love most. \nOur annual Light Up a Life gathering offers an opportunity to come together\, reflect and remember someone special. Please join us at St Kentigern Hospice on Sunday 6th December at 5pm\, as we honour the lives of loved ones and find comfort in shared remembrance. \nDedicate a light to someone you love\nDedicating a light is a meaningful way to remember a loved one this Christmas\, while supporting the care St Kentigern Hospice provides for local patients and families. \nOur online dedication page is now open\, allowing you to leave a personal tribute to someone special. \nDedicate a light online \nDedication information will also be included in our winter mailer\, which will be arriving soon. If you prefer\, you can make your dedication by completing and returning the enclosed slip. \nOur Book of Remembrance\nA Book of Remembrance will be open during the gathering for you to write a dedication and a personal message to a loved one.
